My Classroom

My 4th grade classroom, Room 230. I'm working on having flexible seating and constant movement.  The classroom should be comfortable and inviting.  After all, it is our 2nd home.

My board, where I post our home learning, calendar, schedule, learning goals on the left hand side and then our learning scales, fun fact, quote, and important dates on the right hand side.

 

Our AR Points chart that displays the points each student has for the current quarter.  The students are rewarded quarterly for reaching the goal.  My goal is to turn them into life-long readers.

The Sunshine State Young Reader's Award is a program co-sponsored by the Office of Library Media and the Florida Association for Media in Education. This program is designed to entice students to read high interest, contemporary literature for personal enjoyment.  

On this bulletin board I track which SSYR books were read by our students.
